Fortins is a local, family owned business that has been part of the community since 1946. We supply automotive/industrial products, and are a part of Home Hardware. Fortins currently has stores in Chilliwack, Vedder, Hope and Abbotsford. We are currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to fill a full-time Shipping/Receiving position in Chilliwack at Airport Road Locationn.

The successful Shipper/Receiver must have:

• Valid BC Drivers License
• Enjoy working with people
• Possess the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast paced environment
• Basic computer skills - Willing to learn
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
• Experience with Forklift an asset, or willing to be trained and certified.
• Good driver’s abstract
• Physically able and willing to lift 50lbs continuously
• Self motivated
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer service and communication skills
• Willing to learn

This position is full time Monday to Friday. While not typical the odd Saturday or Sunday shift may be required. Duties & Responsibilities, include but not limited to:

• Process courier deliveries
• Checking off stock orders - by hand & using RF Gun
• Cross referencing using supplied tools to ensure accuracy in receiving
• Troubleshooting and communicating any discrepancies/damages in received orders
• Data entry for stock and special orders
• Processing Warehouse returns/warranties in a timely manor
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of workspace
• Help Dispatch when busy with picking orders
